Hello & Welcome.
I believe that every person holds the capacity to heal, and the inner wisdom to know how to do so. In our work together, I aim to provide a warm and collaborative space where you can explore your concerns with curiosity and self-compassion, reconnect to that inner wisdom, and work towards a deeper sense of safety, connection, and healing.
I work with adults of all ages and identities, most commonly women and young adults facing life transitions, anxiety, stress, grief, and trauma. Many of my clients may identify as highly sensitive people, are in helping professions, and struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, and burnout.
With an understanding of how past experiences impact our present, my approach is informed by attachment theory, neurobiology, and the mind-body connection. Our sessions may include mindfulness and somatic practices to better understand how your unique nervous system has developed adaptive strategies to help keep you safe and navigate the world, while gently working to identify and transform patterns that may be leaving you stuck.
I've completed training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Levels 1 and 2) and am pursuing Certification in Safety and Attachment Focused (S.A.F.E) EMDR. Additionally, I integrate a variety of approaches including Parts Work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion.
I received my MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social Work and have worked in a variety of settings, including at nonprofit organizations serving refugee communities and providing accessible and affirming healthcare for youth and young adults. In addition to my work in private practice, I'm also currently a social worker at the University of Michigan, with a focus on college student mental health.
